Unsold Frame Agreement
By using the services of ReSpectacle, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms regarding the handling of glasses deemed to be “unsold”.
If You Choose to Donate Your Frames:
Your frames will be donated if they do not sell within the timeframe established by ReSpectacle for holding frames for sale.
You will receive an email one month before the end of this timeframe, reminding you that your frames are set to be donated. If you wish to proceed with the donation, you can simply ignore this email. However, if you decide you want your glasses back, you can contact our customer service team to arrange for their return.
ReSpectacle will donate frames to various charities of our choosing, aimed at distributing them to those in need, all of which are based in the United States.
Please note that ReSpectacle does not provide receipts for donated glasses.
If You Prefer Not to Donate Your Frames:
ReSpectacle will inform you at the end of your frames' sale period to initiate the return process.
A shipping fee of $9.95 will be charged for the return of your frames.
Holding Period for Unsold Glasses
Any glasses sent to ReSpectacle for the purpose of sale will be held for a period of eighteen (18) months from the date they are listed for sale. During this period, ReSpectacle will make reasonable efforts to sell the glasses through various channels.
Deemed "Unsold"
If the glasses remain unsold at the end of the eighteen (18) month period, they will be considered "unsold." ReSpectacle will notify you via the contact information provided at the time of submission that your glasses have been deemed "unsold."
Opt-Out of Donation Clause
If you do not wish for your unsold glasses to be donated, you must explicitly opt out of the donation clause on the frame submission form. To do so, check the box at the bottom of the frame submission form in order to confirm that your glasses sent with this shipment will not be donated if unsold.
Right to Donate
IF the sale timeframe expires and your glasses are deemed “unsold” , ReSpectacle reserves the right to donate your unsold glasses will be donated to individuals in need. This donation will be conducted through various charitable channels and organizations that ReSpectacle partners with to ensure the glasses reach those who can benefit from them the most.
Notification and Confirmation
If you do not agree to donate your frames below, in the event they are classified as "unsold", and we do not receive a response from you to facilitate the return process, ReSpectacle will notify you that your frames will be retained by us for a period of four (4) weeks. Should this four (4) week period lapse without any reasonable effort on your part to facilitate the return process, ReSpectacle will assume your consent to donate the aforementioned unsold frames.
For the purposes of this agreement, "reasonable effort" by the seller is defined as responding to ReSpectacle's notifications regarding the status of your frames being switched to "unsold" via the communication channels specified in the "CONTACT US" section.
By agreeing to these terms, you consent to the handling of your glasses as described above. ReSpectacle is committed to ensuring that all unsold glasses are put to good use, either through sale or donation, to support individuals in need.
